Become a Corporate Sponsor

Walk to Cure Diabetes: Over 4,000 walkers participate each year in our five Triad Walks—Greensboro, Winston-Salem, Burlington, Asheboro, and High Point. Together these Walks raise over $1 million annually. Businesses may serve as sponsors at different levels:

Hope Gala: Every February, more than 600 JDRF supporters come together for a black-tie Gala and Auction that raises nearly $1 million. The Gala, which alternates between Greensboro and Winston-Salem each year, honors one Triad leader and features the stories of kids and teens with type 1 diabetes. Businesses may serve as sponsors at different levels:

Blanton Vogler Memorial Golf Tournament: Over 200 golfers tee it up to cure diabetes each year on the first Friday in May. After hitting the links, the golfers are joined by significant others and friends, and they all head to the After-Party and Silent Auction. Businesses may serve as sponsors at different levels:

Family Network: In the Piedmont Triad, JDRF offers educational, social, and emotional support to families affected by type 1. We host a series of family events, support groups, and mentoring opportunities. Participate in a retail program

• Sneaker Sales: Customers may donate $1 at checkout and write their name on a paper sneaker for display. Please e-mail Marlee Foster for information and supplies.
• Plushland: Sell adorable Teddy Bears wearing JDRF Walk t-shirts.

Make an in-kind donation

As a nonprofit, JDRF is always looking for donations of goods and services (e.g., printing, food/beverages for events)! Donations allow us to continue channeling as much money as possible directly to type 1 research.

We are always looking for auction donations—for our annual Hope Gala, the Blanton Vogler Memorial Golf Tournament and After-Party, and other events. Please e-mail Kristi Greene for details.

Get your employees involved!

• Form a company Walk Team: Pull together a team of three or a team of 300! Either way, forming a company Walk Teams is fun, builds camaraderie, raises money for an important cause, and—best of all—JDRF will provide all the tools you need!
• Host a “Jeans Day” or a “Sneaker Day”: Coordinate a fun, fundraising event for your employees or host a “Lunch and Learn” session so your staff can find out more about JDRF and learn how to get involved.
